Almost 40 policymakers in the field of ozone and climate protection and RAC experts and trainers have successfully completed a Cool Training (in May respectively in June/July) on the safe use of natural refrigerants. For the first time, the training for National Ozone Units (NOUs) was conducted in Spanish.

On February 14, 2018, Midea – one of Chinese world’s leading technologies group in the RAC sector - received the German Blue Angel ecolabel for its new, environmentally friendly air conditioning system. The label was awarded to Midea during the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) trade fair in Milan, Italy.

On the road to green cooling, Vietnam’s Department of Climate Change (DCC) in cooperation with GIZ Proklima presents its preliminary GHG inventory results for the RAC sector. The workshop took place mid of March 2018 in Hanoi and was attended by over 40 participants.

Jossineide Oliveira and Silva - educator, consultant and entrepreneur - is one of the pioneer woman in the refrigeration field in Brazil. She is also the first female instructor in Porto Velho to teach the course “Good Practices Training on Air Conditioning Systems”, which is coordinated by the Brazilian Environmental Ministry and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
