“Every training I do is a new experience, but here I say it was even better”, concluded one of the participants, Luana Ribeiro Orlandini, IFBA instructor. She came with 15 other refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) professionals to Germany to participate in a Cool Training. Within two weeks full of theoretical and practical sessions on natural refrigeration the participants who all work as trainers in Brazil had the chance to learn a lot and at the same time network with other Brazilian trainers. They will all be able to bring a lot of new knowledge back to their students. The training included sessions on different natural refrigerants: Carbon Dioxide, Ammonia and Propane.

“It is opportunities like this that make us grow, and as I always say, I have been in the refrigeration area for 36 years and I continue to learn.” Caio Alexandre Evangelista, instructor at SENAI-MG

The training was organized by the Brazilian Program for the Elimination of HCFCs (PBH) under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through the Proklima cluster. The training was conducted and held at the Bundesfachschule Kälte-Klima-Technik (BFS) in Maintal, close to Frankfurt.

“It was two weeks of constant learning, not only at the time we are at school, during classes, but also in leisure time, in which talking to colleagues, I was able to absorb knowledge and exchange experiences with people from different parts of Brazil.” Luanda Kívia de Oliveira Rodrigues, general director of IFBA

Reiner Meyers, who works at the BFS since 2009 and is an international specialist and trainer, says: “It is always very interesting to receive students from different parts of the world, with different opinions and a lot of curiosity, and we here at the school, do everything to share our knowledge and clear up all possible doubts during this time.”

“And one thing I'm going to take with me was that Professor Reiner said 'don't underestimate your knowledge, believe to get where you want to go'.” Danilo Mendes Pereira, instructor at SENAI-TO

The trainers come from all different regions within Brazil and next to participating in a Cool Training, learning a lot of theory and practice, it was also a chance for them to get to know each other and profit from the experience of other trainers.
