At the COP23 in Bonn in October, GIZ Proklima of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) successfully held a side event on the potential of sustainable cooling in supporting the International Climate Agenda. Over 40 participants attended the event, during which the significance of the Kigali Amendment for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement was discussed.

Over 60 participants from the policy, private and public sector joined the second GIZ Proklima side event during this years´MOP29 on the climate impact of ODS banks. The event was hosted by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) via its International Climate Initiative (IKI).
01.12.2017 Noticias Workshop on the disposal of ODS at the World Resources Forum (WRF)
In October, GIZ Proklima participated at the World Resource Forum (WRF) in Geneva: The WRF serves as a platform fostering knowledge exchange on resources management amongst private, public and civil sector. Amongst 60 submissions, the recently published "Manual Dismantling of Refrigerators and Air Conditioners" within the project was selected to be presented during the scientific sessions of the WRF.

Old equipment containing ozone-depleting substances is a major challenge for many developing countries. An environmentally sound recycling or final destruction of ODS usually does not take place. Against this background, GIZ Proklima has produced a short film to raise awareness for this complex problem and to illustrate the alarming climate impact of old devices containing ODS.

The FXP series comprises 3 power sizes of extremely compact water-cooled chillers, which are intended for modular arrangement. The modules are particularly suitable for retrofit applications, when the installation allows only very limited unit dimensions. The individual modules have a cooling capacity of up to 45 kW and cover outlet temperatures from +20 to -15°C. As a rule, several modules are always installed in a hydraulic network.
